History while in the forces
20 Feb 1917: Mr Williams enlisted in the 31st Royal Fusiliers (Bankers Battalion) and was for some time stationed at Portobello, Edinburgh, from there he was sent to the Duke of York's School, Dover. He is now training for a Commission at the 12th Officer Cadet Battalion, Newmarket22 Dec 1917: Mr Williams has now been gazetted in the 2nd Duke of Wellington's Regiment and is now on active service in France
