History while in the forces
Mar 1916: called up to Suffolk Regiment and stationed at Tring. Went to France about the end of May and returned in July suffering with dysentery and shrapnel wound in the foot. Ever since he has been undergoing treatment at Shoreham Convalescent CampJun 1917: now stationed in Ireland with Cameronians
Feb 1918: transferred to 2/10th Battalion Royal Scots Regiment, and now stationed at Berwick-on-Tweed
