03 Feb 1917: Mr Thomas entered the Army as a Private and was stationed at Oswestry. He then joined the Officers' Training Corps at Bristol and obtained a Commission as 2nd Lieutenant, he has been in France about two months16 Jun 1917: I much regret to report that Lieutenant Thomas (we heard this morning) was killed in action on June 13th in France
