1916: trained at Loughton and Porto Rallo, Edinburgh20 Aug 1916: sailed for France where he was attached to the 12th Battalion Middlesex Regiment
26 Sep 1916: killed in action at Thiepval. Was seen to be making his way back, slightly wounded to the dressing station, but never arrived and no trace of him has been found.
