08 Sep 1914-04 Mar 1915: in training at Worcester, then to King's Lynn11 Apr 1915: left England for Egypt - went to Gallipoli landing at Suvla Bay
Sep 1915: returned to England invalided from there. In hospital Eastleigh, Birmingham and Coventry
Nov 1915: left England again for Egypt
23 Apr 1916: wounded and taken prisoner by the Turks during the fighting at Katia. Was in Damascus Hospital for six months.
Jan 1917: Interned at Afion Kara Hissar
