History while in the forces
Being an Officer in the Territorials he was mobilized at the outbreak of war. He went to France with his Regiment (the 5th Border) shortly after, and was there 12 months. He contracted blood poisoning in the hand and has been invalided home, since in hospital and with the Reserves at Isle of Man. He has been twice out in FranceJan 1918: he has now returned to France, and is employed in Railway Constructional work
