History while in the forces
Aug 1914: joined the London Rifle Brigade immediately on the outbreak of War. Sent to France early in 1915 and was soon afterwards promoted to Lance Corporal and later to Corporal.Jul 1916: He was in France continuously until the action in July 1916 when he was reported wounded and missing and we have since had no news.
