History while in the forces
07 Nov 1916: Joined HM Forces as a Private in the Royal Horse Artillery, WoolwichAbout May 1917: joined Cadet School, Brighton
End of December 1917: became 2nd Lieutenant Royal Field Artillery. Went to France shortly afterwards and served with the French mortar section.
Apr 1918: Was wounded and gassed 29 Mar 1918 & is now (April 1918) in hospital at Camberwell.
