06 Feb 1917: now at Heaton Park Camp, Manchester undergoing treatment for his ears, due to gun shock
14 Mar 1917: has been transferred to the Cadet Battalion, training for a Commission at Newton Ferrers, Devon
13 Jul 1917: called at Bank, has been gazetted and transferred to Oswestry Camp
17 Aug 1917: was in France 10 days, now invalided home with ear trouble and at Prince of Wales Hospital, Marylebone
27 Nov 1917: at Manor War Hospital, Epsom, Surrey. Ear trouble.
