10 Dec 1917: stationed at Crystal Palace, London for training11 Jun 1918: left Falmouth on Convoy work for Port Said, calling at Bizerta (Convoy Signalman) Ran between Alexandria Bizerta about four months. Afterwards based at Port Said, and ran between Port Said and Milos
02 Nov 1918: Ship torpedoed off Port Said and sank within 15/20 minutes - got off in lifeboat and picked up by a trawler
26 Dec 1918: work finished sailed from Portland for home port
01 Feb 1919: demobilised
10 Mar 1919: re-joined Handsworth branch staff
