Jan 1915: Mr Potts was training in England until Jan 1915, after which he went to France and served in the trenches in Flanders until MayMay 1915: when owing to exposure of gas poisoning he was sent to hospital and was eventually invalided

Dec 1915: he was discharged from the Army on 04 Sep 1915, but was not discharged from hospital until 22 Dec 1915.
Jan 1916: he resumed duties at the Bank in Jan 1916 and was transferred from Welsh Office, Head Office to Leytonstone branch
20 Jun 1917: died from consumption following exposure
