History while in the forces
Mar 1915: had Sunstroke etc etc in the Dardanelles. He got mixed up into the Dublin Fusiliers at the landing. Where out of 1100 only 70 returned and D G Owen was one of the 70 - His nerves were shattered and for 15 months was at different hospitalsJun 1916: discharged from the Army
