Dec 1916: we have heard that he is still at home, no action being yet taken by the military authorities. His sister informed us that he still declined but she thought the matter would be fixed up on the lines of his doing some national work
27 Jul 1917: now at Princetown, South Devon at work on a government penal settlement after having served 56 days' hard labour in a London prison
16 May 1918: now at No 4 Hill Side Dritton Prison, Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Is engaged at work in a stone quarry
