07 Feb 1917: sent to Isleworth (Grove Park) after training went to France saw active service. Contracted Rheumatism. In Hospital at Newport and Griffithstown. Discharged at Christmas and is now again with his Unit at Chichester. Later at Avonmouth en route in France.10 May 1917: on active service in France
