03 Feb 1917: Mr Jones joined the Royal Naval Air Service. He was at the White City London, he was then sent to Portsmouth to learn Gunnery, in which he passed well. Mr Jones is now at Eastchurch in the Isle of Sheppey on the staff19 Mar 1917: Mr Jones is now a Leading Mechanic and is in charge of the bombing instruction under the Grimsby School
