19 Oct 1918: drowned at SeaOstend Town Council the Burgomaster a Belgian General and about two thousand of the population of the city were present at the funeral Signaller Edwin Herbert Hulston Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve youngest son of Mr and Mrs Hulston, 161 Lincoln Road, Acocks Green the first member of the British Force to be interred in Ostend cemetery since the German evacuation. He was twenty years of age and an old scholar both of St Mary's Day School, Acocks Green, and Tyseley Secondary School. He was formerly employed by the London City and Midland Bank.
