History while in the forces
06 Feb 1917: volunteered and joined the Royal Welsh Fusiliers at the commencement of the war, as a Private. Obtained a Commission and was transferred to the 5th Battalion King's Shropshire Light Infantry. Went out to France and was wounded (back and right arm) and is now at Somerville Hospital, Oxford- Surname
