History while in the forces
Joined Manchester Regiment as a Private about 25 years ago. On coming to Cardiff took Commission in Welsh Regiment. Appointed Manager at Haverfordwest was transferred to 4th Battalion Welsh Regiment and made Captain of Haverfordwest Company.Jul 1914: Was in Territorial Camp when war broke out and was on active service till he was killed at Suvla Bay (Aug 1915)
