History while in the forces
27 Feb 1917: joined the Bankers Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers and after a short stay at Epping was sent to Portobello N.B. We heard afterwards that most of his Regiment had gone out to France, he was drafted to the 107th Training Reserve Battalion. He left for Salonika about a month ago.Jun 1918: invalided to England
