History while in the forces
03 Oct 1914: joined and left to Garrison Malta afterwards sent on to Egypt and later served in Gallipoli. After evacuation returned to Egypt and saw service along the Morocco Coast. The Battalion then went to France where he served and was in the advance made last September. Now in England suffering from Trench Foot. Returned under substitution scheme 10 Apr 1917- Surname
