History while in the forces
Feb 1917: Mr Hawley was in the fight pounds Loos and was wounded. He has now recovered from the wound and is with his Regiment at present at Cambusbarron, Stirling21 Mar 1918: Mr Hawley has received his Commission and has been gazetted 2nd Lieutenant 4th Reserve Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and is going down to Rugeley, Staffordshire on Thursday next
