09 May 1916: crossed to France. Stationed at No1 General Hospital
Aug 1916: sent to Field Hospital. In charge medical equipment
Jun 1917: sent to Field Ambulance (23rd) 7th Division
Oct 1917: returned to England with Trench Fever
May 1918: returned to Depot
Jul 1918: sustained accidental injury to right knee. Admitted to hospital
27 Jun 1919: invalided out of the Service. Was recommended four times for promotion.
