Albert Wedgewood Foster

History while in the forces

Sep 1914: he joined the Forces as a Private and was gradually promoted until he received a Commission in the 2nd Durham Light Infantry. He was seriously wounded in Dec 1915 in France and since leaving hospital has been attached to the headquarters staff at South Shields. He goes into active service again in April next.
