01 Feb 1917: enlisted in the 8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters in Oct 1914 and went to France about 6 months later, was in the Battle of Loos, and the capture of the Hohenzollern Redoubt. Has since transferred to the Army Service Corps and is still in France.- Surname
