History while in the forces
01 Mar 1917: was in the Queen's West Surrey Volunteer Regiment when war broke out in Summer Camp. He went out to France as a Signaller and later on exchanged into the Engineer. Was invalided home a year ago and has since been in hospital most of the time. He is now joining up again and expects to be in France this week.- Surname
