History while in the forces
01 Feb 1917: Mr Collett received his preliminary training at Burnham, Buckinghamshire and Colchester. He then proceeded with his Unit to France for completion of his training. He was selected for duty in orderly room of Brigade Headquarters of 3rd Echelon Rouen, France where he has remained ever since also getting his promotion whilst so employed06 Dec 1918: still at Headquarters Royal Berkshire, Rouen, Colour Sergeant
