History while in the forces
Left England Jan 1917 and went to India then and left there Jun 1917 for Mesopotamia and then on to Persia and on to Russia and on to Turkey and came home through Italy and France arriving home in 24 Oct 1919. Demobilised on 12 Nov 1919 and returned to the Bank in Jan 1920.Note recorded on front of the card: commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 1916. To 5th Worcesters, promoted to Lieutenant June 1918
