05 Feb 1917: joined Yeomanry 1914 as Trooper and obtained his Commission in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Went to France July 1916 and was wounded in the Somme offensive. Sent home on sick leave Dec 1916 and is returning to France this month10 Jul 1917: is now in Salonica
