Jul 1915: joined up sent to Biggleswade.
Dec 1915: went out to Egypt
Feb 1917: now serving in Mesopotamia
Jun 1917: after a spell in hospital with septic poisoning in head he received a wound in the flesh of his thigh. He is making satisfactory recovery. He was fighting in Palestine when wounded.
