Album of photographs that show working life at the Birmingham, New Street branch in the 1920s. This building was originally constructed and opened as the bank's new head office premises in 1869. When the head office moved to London in 1898, it continued to serve customers as a flagship branch in the network. The business was eventually relocated across the road to No. 130 New Street in 1971. A number of the images feature female members of staff, which is unusual for the period.
