Photograph showing five club members of the Royal Air Force section in front of an aeroplane, most likely at Hanworth aerodrome. On the extreme right is Gilbert W Walenn, founder member of the club, who would go on to become a flight lieutenant in the Second World War, and sadly lost his life in Poland following recapture after 'The Great Escape'.
