About this collection
Mong Kok (meaning ‘busy corner’) began life as a small fishing village in Kowloon with less than 200 residents. Today, it is one of the world’s most densely populated places. This transformation is a fascinating chapter in our shared history with Hong Kong. We opened our branch there in October 1948 in response to the growing financial needs of the local community. We’re proud to look back on our history in this bustling district.
