Photograph taken from the public gardens, looking towards the Albany (a stretch of houses) and the Peak behind. Floyd has labelled it as the 'Botanical Garden' with a caption that reads: 'The Public Gardens and Albany, Looking South. The stretch of Houses known as "the Albany" form the principal group in the above picture. The small bungalow to the extreme right, and the highest residence in this quarter of the City, possesses an unhappy celebrity as having, some years since, been the scene of a murder of which a Parsee was the victim. The road leading up to the Peak is faintly discernible on the hill side'.
