Photograph of the buildings along the waterfront, with a caption that reads: 'Praya Central. The large building, with wings, in the centre of the picture was formerly the hong of Messrs. Dent & Co., but upon the suspension of the firm, passed into the possession of Messrs Smith, Archer & Co., Russell & Co, and Melchers & Co, Messrs D Lapraik & Co's Wharf occupies the extreme right'. Part of Wardley House can be seen to the far left of the picture.
