Let the games begin – or should we say, ‘Que les jeux commencent’! This snapshot celebrates a long legacy of sporting achievement by our French employees. In 1930, Crédit Commercial de France (now HSBC Continental Europe) acquired a sports ground near Paris for staff and their families to enjoy free of charge. The bank’s support for games and leisure was formalised in 1943 with the creation of a Sports Association, which is still going strong today. Pull on your trainers and warm up with these sporting images through the decades.
