Back to Leo the lion
Leo announces the opening of a branch in Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon. For many decades, customers in Hong Kong had relied on HSBC’s head office in Central. A second office, a sub-agency, opened in 1929 inside the prestigious Peninsula Hotel. That was followed by the bank’s first full-sized branch in Mong Kok in 1948.
