About this collection

HSBC Continental Europe recently unveiled its new headquarters in Paris at 38, avenue Kléber. It’s not the first time we have been on the move in the ‘City of Light’. Our history in the capital can be traced back to the creation of Banque Suisse et Française in 1894. The new bank started out in rented offices in rue Laffitte, before moving to a purpose-built head office at 20, rue La Fayette in 1908. The business continued to grow through mergers and was renamed Crédit Commercial de France. In 1922, the central management team and main services transferred to 103, avenue des Champs-Elysées. Crédit Commercial de France joined HSBC in 2000, and later took the name HSBC France. In December 2020, the business was renamed once again, becoming HSBC Continental Europe.
