[from press clipping] Lce-Corpl W.L. Armstrong, Essex Regiment, only son of Mr and Mrs William Armstrong, 354 Dickenson Road, Rusholme, reported missing since March 28, is now stated by an officer of the Black Watch to have been killed, his body having been found on September 5 on recaptured ground. He was an old Manchester Grammar School boy, and on the staff of the London City and Midland Bank.
