History while in the forces
01 Dec 1917: went to Portobello on joining and sent to France in Sep 1916. Has been in hospital suffering from lumbago.30 Jun 1917: we regret to inform you that Mr Baggalt has been wounded. His father informs us that he has been sent back to England and is in hospital in Bristol.
08 Sep 1918: discharged. re-joined staff 10 Oct 1918
08 Apr 1920: is very lame as result of his wounds and probably will always be so
