Photograph of a Parsee Cemetery, with a caption that reads: 'The Parsee Cemetery, Happy Valley. Not the least striking of the Cemeteries which fringe the Western side of Wong-nei-chong – the "Happy Valley" – is that in which Parsees who have died in the Colony find their last resting place. The almost painful symmetry of arrangement which distinguishes the tombs, increases the solemn look of the place. The Mortuary Chapel in the background is used for the funeral ceremonies of their religion. But few Europeans enter this burial ground, which has a peculiarly secluded look from the outside'.
