Photograph of the front of the memorial located on the north side of the banking hall at the London Joint City and Midland Bank head office at Threadneedle Street. The memorial was designed by T B Whinney, the bank's architect, and features supporting bronze statues of St George (left) and the Recording Angel (right), constructed by sculptor Albert Toft. The names of the 717 employees who lost their lives during the First World War are inscribed on panels of white Pentelicon marble.
