Book containing recollections of 'S.D.R. compiled by E. Edwards'. These are extracts reprinted from the 'Birmingham Daily Mail'. It contains S.D.R.'s first impressions of Birmingham, the Bull Ring Riots of 1889, Birmingham banks and various well-known characters, including Charles Geach, the founder of Birmingham and Midland Bank. The last few pages of the volume include advertisements for businesses in Birmingham and there is a pull-out sketch of the buildings and companies located in Bull Street in 1840.
